One of the last problems over the past week in our project known as “Blitz High School Football” for Vindy.com was get IE8 to handle our site in a similar way to what the other Standard Compliant Browsers do. We work on Macs at the Vindy, and it is easier to produce a design and quicker when you limit your testing to the browsers on a Mac. But the closer to the launch date we get the more of a concerned about IE (Internet Explorer). Our new design for Blitz uses a generous dose of JQuery and different plugins for the JavaScript Library. The nice thing about this design is that it was separated from the rest of Vindy.com the design is unrelated. This allowed our creative side to take over and build new pieces and parts to replace the traditional Vindy.com elements. We wanted to keep the user in the “Blitz” design for every page that you would visit in every function of our site. We couldn’t do every template, some like comment functionality in our site is done so that we can’t override the templates with out a complete overhaul to how our content is integrated.
