The free agency this season can actually go to the Cavs favor instead of against the Cavaliers with the advent of LeBron James’s future in question. I think the Cavaliers need to leverage a couple of things to secure James from looking else where. One of the first things they need to do is let go of Mike Brown with negotiations to get Phil Jackson.
The Cavaliers need to change in order to go to the Championship but more immediately keep LeBron James. It has to be a change to acquire the best of some other aspect of the sport. The best coach would be a good choice with Phil Jackson on the Free Agent list. Another good move would be to drop the aging middle. Shaq and Big Z are past their prime, and now are possibly going to be less of advantage and more of a problem.
They with those drops they should have enough salary to go after another star player (such as Chris Bosh or Dwayne Wade). They need to bring another talent to the table that is big and strong enough to stand up when the going gets tough during the playoffs. They should drop the fat and start playing lean and mean. The best mentality should be one of athleticism and wisdom also should be to finally give James his rings.
